Craobh (pronounced "crave") Dugan-O'Looney, the local branch of Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann (pronounced "coal-tuss kyol-tory erin"), was established in 1978 and is part of a world-wide organization which has over 400 branches. Headquartered in Ireland, our mission is the preservation and promotion of Irish traditional music, song, dance and language. Chapter activities include lessons, sessions, workshops, and performances.
Irish Dancing
Irish dancing is one example of how the Irish culture has evolved over time. Theories are plentiful as to why the dancers keep a rigid back, arms by their sides, and a serious look on their faces. whatever the reason, they're always sure to bring a smile and get your toes tapping. join the dancers from the Central New York region as they celebrate their culture at the CNY Irish festival.
