Frequently asked Questions

Have a question for us? We have listed a few commonly asked questions below.  If you can't find your answer, please contact the us at cnyirishfest@gmail.com and we'll be happy to assist.

  • Where is the Festival held?

    • ​The festival will be held at MKJ Farms, which is located at 6844 West Hughes Road,   right off of Route 12B in Deansboro, NY.  Click       to take you to the "Directions" page where you can insert your address for specific directions to the venue. 

  • When I arrive, will there be parking, handicapped parking, or fees for parking?

    • There will be plenty of parking on site once you arrive.  The Deansboro Fire Department has graciously offered to assist us in parking attendees the day of the event. 

    • To show your gratitude to these volunteer firemen and women for all they do, we ask for you to make a small donation of $5.00.

    • For individuals who require handicapped parking, there will be spots closer to the venue for those with tags.  

  • How much are tickets?

    • General Admission - See Ticket Tab Cash at gate only!!!

    • Children (12 and under) - Always free!

  • Are there group ticket discounts available?

    • Yes! Save some green with group ticket sales. For more information please email us at cnyirishfest@gmail.com.

  • Does my admission to the festival include all of the entertainment?

    • Yes! Everything including all of the musical acts, dancing, sports, children's activities, cultural exhibits and more are included in your admission fee. 

  • Can I leave the festival and come back in? 

    • Yes, you may get your hand stamped upon leaving the grounds and return on the same day for free re-entry. But why would you want to leave and miss all the fun?

  • What entertainment is coming to the Central NY Irish Festival?

    • Head over to our Lineup and Events Page to see!!

  • Are there hotels or campgrounds in the area?

    • There will be several hotels and airbnb's in the immediate area you can book. Check out our partners at https://www.oneidacountytourism.com/

    • If camping is your cup of tea, we will be offering on premises camp sites.  These sites will not have water or electric hookups, so plan accordingly.  They may also be a little unlevel so make certain to bring your leveling jacks!! Please visit our Camping Page for more information.

  • Do you offer wheelchairs and strollers?

    • Unfortunately we will not be able to offer wheelchairs and strollers, so please plan accordingly.​

  • Do you give refunds?

    • Sorry, we do not give refunds. The Central NY Irish Fest is held rain or shine and there will be covered areas available in the event of inclement weather. (inside Barn and under one small tent area)

  • Are there ATMs on the grounds?

    • Yes, there will be an ATM located on the grounds inside the gate. We will only accept cash at entry point, so plan ahead.

  • May I bring my camera or drone?

    • Yes, we encourage you to bring your camera. All we ask is that you do not go in off limit areas, and to please make sure you share your moments with us on Facebook (CNYIrishFest), Twitter (@CNYIrishFest) and Instagram (CNYIrishFest).  Don't forget hashtag us at #cnyirishfest2023 !

    • We do ask that you do not bring a drone.  We will have someone on site with a drone to take aerial footage, and will share with everyone on our Gallery Page. 

  • Will there be seating:

    • There will be limited seating so we encourage you to bring a folding chair.

    • The seating area will not be tented so plan accordingly with an umbrella to shade you from elements.​

    • We are aware of those that wish to dance in front of the stage and this is encouraged by the bands. when setting up your seat, please keep this in mind for the best vantage point as they may block your view.

  • Can I bring my dog?

    • Sorry, only service animals will be allowed on the Festival grounds.​

  • Are backpacks or coolers allowed?

    • Backpacks and coolers are not allowed, and all bags will be subject to search.  But don't worry, you won't go hungry or thirsty as there will be several food trucks serving food and beverages available to meet your needs.

  • Are skateboards or skates allowed?

    • Sorry, we do not allow these items to be brought into the Festival grounds.

  • Is there a place to check and store items such as umbrellas, shopping purchases, etc.

    • Unfortunately we will not be able to check or store any items at the event for you.​

  • Is sunscreen available for sale on the grounds?

    • ​No unfortunately we will not have sunscreen for sale, so plan accordingly.​​

  • What is not allowed to be brought in?

    • Are there items that are prohibited?  Please leave the following at home:​

      • No Camelback Style Hydration Packs

      • No Picnic Baskets or Coolers

      • No Cans or Glass Bottles

      • No Aerosol Cans

      • No Alcohol (we have plenty)

      • No Illegal Drugs or Substances

      • No Firearms

      • No Knives

      • No Weapons or Objects that could be used as Weapons

      • No Fireworks

      • No Pets (except documented service animals)

      • No Selfie Sticks

      • No Banners or Flags on Poles

      • No Laser Pointers

      • No Skateboards or Skates

      • No Kites

  • Is there a place for Lost and Found items?

    • Yes, items that are found can be taken to the INSIDE BAR AREA. After the festival, please email us at cnyirishfest@gmail.com to see if your lost item was turned in.

  • What if I lose my child?

    • Our Lost Children's Area is located at the front gates.

  • What if I become ill or injured?

    • The Deansboro Fire Department with EMS services has volunteered to be on site for all medical emergencies that may arise.
